Intel will introduce the Core 2 Quadro in mid-October at maximum clock speeds of 2.66 GHz. Speculation has it that Intel will offer this model featuring a Kentsfield core as Core 2 Extreme.

The Core 2 Duo is available with a minimum clock speed of 2.13 GHz. As past experience shows, Intel lowered the clock speed in doubling the CPU cores. Our processor samples could be overclocked to 3.33 GHz without even raising the core voltage. The sample was factory-set to a speed of 2.66 GHz and a bus speed of 266 MHz
