인텔 - CPU 소식 몇가지......

1. Core architecture in Celeron-M in 2007

Intel will release in January the first Celeron M based on Core architecture used for the Core 2 Duo. It will be of course a mono core processor. The Celeron M 520 will be clocked at 1.6 GHz, use a FSM of 533 MHz and have 1 MB of cache.

We regret, however, that the price announced is the same as a 2 GHz Celeron M 450, $134, and not $86 like the Celeron M 420. We know that it isn't the Core architecture and that EM64T isn't supported but it is a lot of money considering that the release of the Core 2 Duo Mobile was made at the same price at equivalent frequency as the Core Duo.

There will also be a Celeron M 530 at 1.73 GHz during the second quarter 2007.

Intel은 Core 2 Duo에 사용된 Core 아키텍쳐를 기본으로 한 첫번째 Celeron M (싱글 코어)을 내년 1월에 출시할 예정이다. Celeron M 520은 1MB Cache와 533MHZ의 FSM이며 1,6GHz 의 Clock을 가질것이다.

하지만, 알려진 가격이 $86인 Celeron M 420과 같지 않고 $134 인 2GHz Celeron M 450과 같다는 것이 유감이다.
우리는 그것이 EMI64T를 지원하지 않고, Core 아키텍쳐가 아니라는 것을 알지만, Core Duo와 동일한 프리퀀시에서 같은 가격으로 만들어진 Core 2 Duo Mobile의 출시를 고려하면 너무 비싸다.

또한 2007년 2분기동안 1.73GHz에서 작동하는 Celeron M 530이 나올 것이다.

2. Pentium is back!

Pentium will be the sales name of the Conroe-L, a mono core version of the Conroe with a smaller cache. Scheduled for the second quarter 2007, these processors will have the following characteristics:

- Pentium E1020 : 1.4 GHz, FSB800, 1 MB of L2 cache
- Pentium E1040 : 1.6 GHz, FSB800, 1 MB of L2 cache
- Pentium E1060 : 1.8 GHz, FSB800, 1 MB of L2 cache

The Conroe-L will be available later on the Celeron range with the Celeron "400" sequence, but we don't have any information yet on these processors.

Pentium은 작은 캐쉬를 가진 Conroe의 Single Core 버전인 Conroe-L을 2007년  2분기에 판매할 계획이며, 이 프로세서들의 특성은 아래와 같다.

Conroe-L은 Celeron "400" 시퀀스를 가진 Celeron 범위상에서 이후 이용가능하지만, 이 프로세서들에 대한 어떤 정보도 가지고 있지 않다.

3. Intel Q6600 : Quad Core for everyone

Additionally to the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 (the official denomination of the Kentsfield) expected in November, Intel will democratise the Quad Core from Q1 2007 with the Q6600. The sales denomination of this processor (Core 2 Quad?) is still unknown. It will include two dies of E6600, be clocked at 2.4 GHz and use a FSB of 1066 MHz. The QX6700 will be clocked at 2.67 GHz and use a FSB of 1066 MHz, and not of 1333 MHz as predicted by various rumours.

The price of this processor is unknown since it isn't included to the current price list which will be in use until January. We noted by the way in this list that there are Core 2 Duo processors price cuts.

켄츠필드라 명명되는 Core 2 Extreme QX6700이 11월에 추가될것이 기대됨에 따라, 인텔은 2007년 1분기에 Q6600을 대중화 할 것이다. 이 프로세서(Core 2 Quad?)의 판매 명칭은 여전히 알려져 있지 않다.
그것은 E6600 2개를 포함할 것이고, FSB 1066MHz와 2.4GHz Clock으로 작동될 것이다.
QX6700은 다양한 소문에 따른 의견에 따르면 FSB 1333Mhz가 아닌 1066MHz와, 2.67GHz로 작동될 것이다.

이 프로세서들의 가격은 1월까지 사용될 공식 가격표에 포함되지 않은 후로 알려지지 않았다.
그런데 우리는 Core 2 Duo Processors Price Cuts의 리스트에 주목했다.
